JK Place Firenze

The JK Place is located on the celebrated Piazza Santa Maria Novella, in the heart of historic Florence. The Kafri family, who own and manage the property, bought the old town house when it was in a state of total abandon and enlisted the services of talented architect Michele Bonan, known for his involvement in many important hotel design projects, to transform the building in a truly unique 4 star hotel.

The result is a stunning 20 bedroom boutique hotel, quite unlike any other hotel in Florence. The JK Place is almost hidden behind an understated front entrance. Guests entering the JK Place are greeted by a central corridor with lacquered black wooden floors and neutral colored walls. A carpet of precious pietra serena stone leads from the courtyard to the airy stair case with neo-gothic handrail. The public areas of the JK Place offer the maximum in comfort and an unusually eclectic interior design featuring exposed wooden beams, antique architectural renderings, original artworks, large mirrors, and ottomans upholstered in zebra hide.

The bedrooms are decorated in soothing tones of oatmeal and soft grey, and furnished with a striking mix of ancient and modern décor with ornate Louis XVI marble fireplaces and crystal chandeliers sharing room space with chrome desk lamps from the 1930's and recent works of abstract art.

Breakfast can be enjoyed in the rooms or in the glass roofed courtyard, decorated with Moroccan lanterns. Breakfast, soft drinks from the mini bar, fresh espresso coffee and mouth watering home made cakes and pastries are included in the room rate. On the top floor of the building a roof terrace featuring nautical teak planking and long benches shaded by ingenious pantiled eaves offers a pleasantly secluded environment in which to relax and enjoy a drink of fine wine or light lunch.
