Hotel Palazzo Bocci Spello

Located within the medieval walls of the charming Umbrian town of Spello, the Hotel Palazzo Bocci occupies an elegant town house, the origins of which can be traced back to the 14th century.

Many of the features of the building date back to the latter half of the 18th century, when the palazzo was included in the major urban restoration project of Spello, commissioned by the influential Passeri dynasty. The family responsible for the transformation of Palazzo Bocci luxurious hotel in the early 1990's, is a direct descendant of the old noble Bocci family of Spello, whose origins go back to the 14th century.

Palazzo Bocci has 23 elegantly furnished guest bedrooms and suites, all equipped with every modern convenience. Palazzo Bocci contains numerous important artworks such as a remarkable painting by Benvenuto Cripoldi and the stunning frescoes in the hotel's Reading Lounge. A generous buffet breakfast is served in one of the hotel's attractive drawing rooms or in the garden.

The hotel's "Il Molino" restaurant is located in a building once used as an oil press, and dating back to the14th century. A skilful conversion has created a unique dining venue featuring a magnificent open fireplace and views of walls from the Roman period. The seasonal menus take their inspiration from the great gastronomic traditions of Umbria, with dishes prepared using the only the finest locally sourced ingredients.
