Villa Sassolini Moncioni

Villa Sassolini is located in the Tuscan village of Borgo Moncioni, on the border of the Arno Valley and offering fabulous views of the Chianti countryside.
The Villa dates back to the 14th century when it served as the summer dwelling of influential Florentine families such as the powerful Conti Guidi. An extensive restoration project has conserved the original architectural features of the building whilst transforming its interiors in to those of a stylish modern design hotel.
Smooth stone steps and natural timber floors lead through rooms the walls of which are decorated with little more than one or two carefully chosen black and white prints, the occasional book case and large mirrors reflecting the light entering through windows hung with almost transparent white drapes.

The hotel has just 10 suites, many with beautiful exposed wooden beam ceilings, and all decorated in soothing ecru and earthy tones. Stunning views over the Borgo, the lavender and rose scented gardens of the villa, and the surrounding Tuscan countryside can be enjoyed from all the rooms.
Excellent food is served at Villa Sassolini's restaurant, where local traditions provide the inspiration for a delicious and refreshingly contemporary Italian cuisine. The wine list features a fine selection of Tuscan and Italian wines.
A large swimming pool with poolside bar is situated in the hotel gardens, the latter enjoying breathtaking views over the luxuriant green valley.
