Designed in the 16th century by the great Italian architect Andrea Palladio, Villa La Serenella (originally known as Villa Aquistapace) served as the palatial home to a succession of influential family's of the Veneto region, from the Floriani to the Ferrari; traces of whose time as owners of the property can be seen either on the façade in the form of family crests or in monuments found within the garden.
Today, Villa La Serenella affords visitors to the Valpolicella area, just outside Verona, a superb historic residence where to enjoy a once in a lifetime vacation.
An imposing set of gates, reminiscent of Verona's Arche Scagliere, greet guests entering the estate. Past Italian gardens, home to a Liberty style lodge and a chapel dedicated to St Giuseppe, we arrive before the impressive Palladian façade, complete with classical columns and a loggia in which a number of statues are housed.
An attractive entrance lobby, kitchen, living room, and dining room, this latter with magnificent open fire place and pool table, are situated on the ground floor of the villa. Three double bedrooms, two single bedrooms, and four bathrooms are located on the first floor whilst, on the second floor of the villa there are an additional two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and two bathrooms.
A quite unique setting for an important corporate or social event, Villa La Serenella is also suitable for a large family or group of friends in search of luxurious holiday accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the city Verona and some of the region's most celebrated golf courses.
