Villa La Castellaccia Sansepolcro

Villa la Castellaccia is located in the countryside just outside the town of Sansepolcro, the birthplace of Piero della Francesca, one of Tuscany's most famous Renaissance artists. An impressive collection of the painter's works is displayed in Sansepolcro's Civic Museum. Art lovers exploring the hilly countryside surrounding the villa will no doubt recognize the landscapes which della Francesca immortalized in so many of his works. From the residence, there are a number of attractive walking itineraries traversing the Tiber valley, including the path which leads to Lake Montedoglio, a favorite amongst windsurfers and canoeists.
Villa la Castellaccia is the perfect base for those keen to explore the towns and cities of Tuscany, Umbria and the Marche. The historic center of Arezzo lies just a few kilometers away from the villa. Gubbio, Spoleto, Cortona and Assisi are all less than an hour's drive away. Florence and Siena are, likewise, within easy driving distance.
