The luxury hotel Villa D'Este occupies a stunningly beautiful 16th century edifice on the shores of Lake Como. The villa, once the sumptuous residence of members of the Italian aristocracy, still exudes a decidedly palatial atmosphere, its guestrooms, corridors, lobby and public rooms all decorated with rare items of period furniture and centuries-old oil paintings and marble statues.

Villa d'Este has 152 guest bedrooms and suites, adorned with antiques, silk brocade drapes, and furniture upholstered in the legendary Como silk. The majority of the rooms are located in the part of the property known as the Cardinal's building, which dates back to 1568. 27 apartments are situated in the Queen's Pavilion, inaugurated in 1860.
