Villa Cicchi Ascoli Piceno - Abbazia di Rosara

Villa Cicchi is a charming country hotel located on the hillside above Ascoli Piceno. The villa dates back to the late 17th century, whilst the ornate interior decorations by the artist Raffaele Fogliari, present in the lobby, lounge, and drawing room, were added in the 19th century. Today, the rooms still contain a great number of antique furnishings from various periods in history, all beautifully restored by expert craftsmen.

On the elegant façade of the villa one can observe a Marian crest dated 1745; symbol of the relationship between the Angelini family, the then owner's of the villa, and a local religious order devoted to the Virgin Mary.

The cellar located directly under the hotel, which extends beneath the entire building, functions as both wine cellar and museum; home to some of the region's finest vintages as well as to a unique collection of centuries old farming instruments.

The landscaped gardens which surround the hotel provide a wonderfully peaceful setting where to converse with friends, read a novel, or stroll amidst the jasmine and rose scented flower beds, past the fountains and dry stone walls, to the hotel's attractive open air swimming pool.
