Tenuta di Canonica Todi

The Tenuta di Canonica, enjoys a fabulous position in the Umbrian countryside, looking out towards the medieval hilltop town of Todi on one side and the Tiber valley on the other.

The Tenuta di Canonica is a fascinating property comprised of a cluster of three stone structures, carefully restored so as to preserve unique historical details some of which, like the foundations of the oldest of the buildings, date back to Roman times. The defensive watch tower was built during the middle ages whilst the building with portico overlooking the valley and the town of Todi was a 19th century addition.

The Tenuta di Canonica has spacious and elegantly furnished bedrooms and junior suites characterized by marvellous exposed wooden beam ceilings, period furniture, rich fabrics and drapes and ornate floor coverings.
Through hidden doors and narrow passageways guests discover enchanting rooms where to chat amongst friends or simply relax whilst reading a book from the Tenuta di Canonica's library.

Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room or, during the summer months, under the portico overlooking the gardens. Private cooking lessons held by the Tenuta di Canonica's chef are available on request. In the gardens of the Tenuta, the panoramic swimming pool with terracotta terrace, offers breathtaking views over the Tiber Valley.
