Relais Villa Matilde is situated in the historic village of Romano Canavese, nestling in the gentle Canavese hillside, right on the border of the Val d'Aosta region and just 35 km north of Turin.

The Villa was built in the 18th century as country residence of the local nobility. Restoration and renovation work carried out in recent years has allowed for the transformation of the old patrician villa in striking 4 star hotel.
Of the hotel's 43 individually appointed rooms and suites, 35 are situated in the villa. An additional 8 rooms are located in the grounds of Relais Villa Matilde, in old outbuildings, skilfully converted in charming guest accommodation.

The former stables have, likewise, been the subject of a stunning conversion, and now house the hotel's charming restaurant. Here, guests have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious selection of regional dishes, including Piedmont's celebrated "fonduta". The poolside restaurant offers a delightful al fresco dining venue during the warm summer months.
