Relais Alla Corte del Sole Petrignano

The Relais alla Corte del Sole is situated on the border between the regions of Umbria and Tuscany, in a complex of buildings which, in the 16th century, formed a monastic hamlet, located in the vicinity of the famous pilgrim route linking Chiusi with Castiglione del Lago and Arezzo.

A meticulous restoration and renovation project has conserved the ancient architectural features of the Relais Alla Corte del Sole and transformed the medieval hamlet in a romantic and secluded hotel of great charm.

The spacious rooms and suites of the Relais Alla Corte del Sole are characterised by typically Umbrian features such as exposed wooden beamed ceilings, pavements in terracotta and stone and, in some rooms, a large open fireplace. All the rooms are individually decorated with beautiful pieces of period furniture.

The "L'Orangerie" lounge bar and winter garden is situated in the extensive park which encircles the Relais Alla Corte del Sole, and offers a delightful environment where to relax and absorb the peaceful atmosphere of the Relais.

Fabulous dishes inspired by the gastronomic traditions of Umbria can be enjoyed at the hotel's "Essenza Corte del Sole" restaurant. Lunch and dinner is served either in the restaurant's elegant dining room or on the ample terrace overlooking the gardens.
