Pieve di Caminino Roccastrada

Pieve di Caminino is a tiny hamlet, near to the medieval village of Montemassi in Tuscany's Roccastrada territory, and just half an hour's drive away from the Tuscan coast. The hamlet is comprised of a cluster of small cottages, a farmhouse, the proprietor's own residence, and the 11th century church, or "pieve" built on Paleo-Christian ruins. The main nave of the church, between Romanesque columns and arches, now provides a truly unique space for classical music concerts and where to hold small meetings and seminars.

The Pieve di Caminino has suites and one apartment of varying dimensions which sleep 2 to 5 people. The units are comprised of one or two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom with shower or bathtub. A swimming pool is available for use by residents. Independent heating and stone fireplaces make the cottages the perfect holiday accommodation way beyond the summer season.

The apartments are furnished with unique items of antique furniture and period paintings from the owner's private collection. Private terraces and secluded garden areas offer beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside.

Some 500 hectares of farming and wood land surround the Pieve di Caminino and are owned by the same proprietor. Century old olive trees, vineyards and Mediterranean scrub form a magnificent and typically Italian rural landscape around the ancient hamlet.
