The Petit Palais is located in the heart of Milan, in the vicinity of the Naviglio canal, the ancient waterway used since medieval times as important commercial channel linking the city with the suburbs.
This historic residence already appears on maps dating back to the 16th century, and although the subject of various alterations over the centuries, has maintained great part of its original form. Five years were necessary to complete the extensive restoration project carried out under the supervision of the Archaeological Superintendence; a restoration project which revealed the traces of numerous past interventions and, on completion, allowed for the transformation of the building in one of Milan's most fascinating small luxury hotels.
The Petit Palais has a total of 18 suites decorated with unique items of period furniture. Beautiful textiles have been used for the upholstery and the sweeping drapes. The hotel's two Royal Suites offer the height of luxury, with large bedrooms and sitting areas leading out onto a private terrace. The Royal Suites each feature a fully fitted kitchen.
The lobby of the hotel easily transforms in delightful sitting room, complete with magnificent open fireplace and furnishings worthy of the most elegant of stately homes.
