Palazzo Tornabuoni

Palazzo Tornabuoni Firenze

The Palazzo Rimbotti is a splendid 14th century edifice, built in a period when Florence was beginning to expand beyond the old Roman city. At that time Via Tornabuoni and Piazza Antinori were secondary side streets leading out towards the gates of the city. It was not until the mid-15th century that Via Tornabuoni and Piazza Antinori started to be considered prime locations where the wealthy Florentines bought and refurbished existing buildings, transforming them in elegant patrician residences, or palazzi. Over the ensuing centuries, the Palazzo Rimbotti underwent numerous alterations, until acquiring its present day aspect in the mid 1700's.

Apartments contain fabulous trompe l'oeils, frescos and period paintings. Full facilities from air conditioning to modern kitchen appliances ensure that the requirements of the contemporary traveler are satisfied.
