The Baracchi family's passion for the countryside of Cortona, some of the most beautiful in the whole of Tuscany, lies behind the creation of Locanda del Molino, an elegant country hotel designed within a beautifully restored and masterly converted mill.

In Locanda del Molino's bedrooms, wrought iron beds, antiques and soft, hand-woven fabrics combine with the latest in hotel standard amenities and technology to offer a charming mixture of old world romance and modern day comfort. Internet connectivity, air conditioning, satellite television and hydromassage baths are, in fact, standard facilities in each of Locanda del Molino's eight, individually appointed rooms. From their bedroom windows, guests enjoy views of the countryside and the stream running beneath the hotel.

On warm summer evenings guests dine al fresco on the terrace of the restaurant, enjoying the typical cuisine of Cortona accompanied by an impressive selection of wines. The cheeses, cold cuts, olive oil and wines used in the hotel kitchens are all available for purchase in the hotel shop.
