Hotel Elephant Bressanone

Hotel Elephant is a historic hotel in the heart of Bressanone. In 1550, at a time when the property was known as the Am Hohen Felde Inn, visitors travelled here from far and wide so as to admire the Indian elephant, a present from the King of Portugal to the Archduke of Austria, which was housed in the hotel's stables. From that time onwards, the 16th century Inn was known as Hotel Elephant.

The building's traditional Tyrolean aspect and the heart-felt hospitality offered to guests characterise this much-loved establishment. Surrounded by an immense park, Hotel Elephant offers accommodation in elegant rooms equipped with every modern comfort. The majority of rooms boast the added appeal of a charming balcony overlooking the gardens and the picturesque town of of Bressanone.

Hotel Elephant's park has been designed so as to offer a gloriously peaceful environment where to relax or partake in a series of leisure activities. This is where to find a large open-air swimming pool, tennis courts, and a wellness zone complete with sauna, Turkish Bath and fitness area.

In each of the Hotel Elephant's three dining rooms, there is a traditional Tyrolean Stube. Guests chose to dine in the Altdeutsche Stube, the Apostelstube, or the Zirbelstube. The same rooms transform in fabulous venues for receptions, banquets, and small-scale corporate events.
