Hotel Ancora Cortina d'Ampezzo

The Hotel Ancora, situated in the heart of the pedestrian area of Cortina, is one of the oldest hotels in this fashionable ski resort; built in 1826 in traditional Ampezzano style with wooden balconies and intricately carved and painted interior details.

Stunning mountain views are enjoyed from the guest rooms, all of which are decorated in classic mountain style. Hotel Ancora's spacious Suites and Junior Suites are all supremely comfortable and have the additional appeal of a balcony overlooking Cortina's principal promenade. Guests dine in a room characterised by gothic arches, hand-painted in shades of blue. The menu features superb international cuisine to be accompanied by a fine selection of wines. A less formal second restaurant, "the Artist's Tavern", offers a relaxed environment for leisurely evening meals. The Viennese Terrace, an attractive café and meeting place decorated in Biedermeier style, overlooks Cortina's legendary Corso Italia.

Hotel Ancora sponsors a literary and artistic salon hosted by the writer Milena Milani. The salon houses numerous exhibitions by important painters and sculptors as well as providing a space for conferences and lively cultural debates. Hotel Ancora also has a meeting room with a seating capacity for as many as 40 people.
