Grand Hotel Il Saraceno Amalfi

The Grand Hotel Il Saraceno, built on tiers of rock leading down to the water's edge, is a truly unique hotel, designed so as to reflect the strong Moorish influence present in many of Amalfi's finest buildings, with sumptuously decorated public rooms characterized by ogival arches and pieces of ornate period furniture.

The luxuriously exotic theme is carried through into the individually furnished guest bedrooms and suites, all decorated with antique furniture and offering splendid sea views. The hotel's Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and Suites all lead out on to balconies or terraces. A striking castle like structure is located on the private beach of the hotel, built on the site of a Medieval fort. The sea edge restaurant provides the venue for banquets and wedding receptions for as many as 200 guests. The Grand Hotel Saraceno has a smaller restaurant for hotel guests on the higher floors of the hotel serving the best Mediterranean and international dishes in a supremely elegant, sea view dining room.

The swimming pool, filled with sea water, is situated on the central terrace of the hotel and is equipped with comfortable sun loungers. This unique 5 star hotel also has a private chapel in which intimate wedding ceremonies are performed.
