Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi Castel di Lama

From its fabulous position on the hillside of the Tronto river valley, the Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi enjoys breathtaking views extending from the snow capped peaks of the Sibillini Mountains and the Gran Sasso to the shimmering waters of the Adriatic sea.

The oldest part of Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi was constructed in the middle ages when, what is now the Villa, served as a fortress. The 17th century San Pancrazio Cottage and the other recently restored buildings of the Borgo, dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries, are all situated within the medieval perimeter walls.

Ludwig Winter, the illustrious 19th century German landscape designer, was the man responsible for the creation of the Borgo's wonderful subtropical gardens. The Seghetti Panichi Gardens are the first historic gardens in Italy to feature a bio-energetic path, which links the various therapeutic areas in the gardens recently identified by the leading Italian ecodesigner, Marco Nieri.

Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi has a total of just 10 suites reserved for guests, all decorated with authentic pieces of period furniture and beautiful artworks. Duplexe suites, comprised of bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, and kitchenette are situated in the San Pancrazio Cottage, whilst a further 5 suites are located in the Villa.

For those guests wishing to improve of maintain their fitness levels whilst on vacation, Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi, provides a wellness facility complete with exercise bike, Swedish wall bars, sauna and swimming pool. Massages performed using essential oils and extracts of phytomelatonin are available on request.

In buildings originally used as riding stables, an attractive multifunctional space has been created where to host small scale business meetings or social events. Seghetti Panichi's romantic gardens, elegant halls, and intimate chapel make the period residence a beautiful location for a wedding.
