The Antico Borgo di Tabiano Castello is a fabulous medieval hamlet with fortress situated in the heart of the extremely green and fertile region of Emiglia Romagna region, dominating the hillside just some 30 kms away from the city of Parma and close to the Via Francigena; the old pilgrim route which leads to Rome.

Built on the site of an old Roman settlement, Tabiano Castle was erected in the 11th century as fortified residence of the all powerful Pallavicino dynasty, who controlled this part of Italy during the extremely bellicose years when wars continuously raged between the Imperial and the Vatican forces.

Many centuries later, the medieval borgo has been transformed in a fascinating historic residence providing luxurious accommodation, a highly acclaimed restaurant, and excellent leisure facilities for visitors travelling to this part of Emilia Romagna. The Antico Borgo di Tabiano Castello has 11 suites, and a number of country houses all beautifully furnished and featuring many of the original architectural features of the medieval buildings.
